Mighton Mobile App

Where It All Started

Mighton, the leading supplier of Sash hardware and Joinery Paints in the United Kingdom since 1983, wanted to extend their highly specialized WooCommerce-based storefront into a powerful and easy-to-use mobile app. Their existing product catalog is large and technically complex, with advanced product attributes, sash and balance calculations, variant-based pricing, and bulk purchase logic. They needed a mobile experience that could mirror the sophistication of their web platform while remaining simple and intuitive for users.
Accelray was approached to architect and develop a full-featured Flutter app that seamlessly integrates with Mighton’s WooCommerce backend, handles complex product logic, and delivers a smooth, fast, and modern buying experience on both iOS and Android.

Our Role

Our responsibility was to understand the deep technical structure behind Mighton’s products, especially sash window hardware calculations and variant dependencies and translate these into a mobile friendly system without losing accuracy.
We built the entire mobile application from the ground up, fully integrated with WooCommerce APIs, custom endpoints, advanced calculator logic, user account management, quoting workflows and payment integrations.

Key Features

  • Product Purchase & Browsing: Full catalog access with filters, variants, custom attributes, images, and detailed specifications.
  • Bulk Buy System: Users can select multiple variants, quantities and dimensions in a single streamlined flow.
  • Sash & Balance Calculator: One of the most technically challenging parts, we recreated Mighton’s complex sash and balance logic within the app to match web-based results accurately.
  • Save as Quote: Users can create quotations from selected products and purchase them later.
  • Multiple Payment Gateways: Integrated various payment providers for a smooth checkout experience.

Challenges We Solved

  • Complex WooCommerce Attribute Structure: Many products contain highly technical multi-layered attributes. We built custom logic to decode and present them intuitively.
  • Recreating the Sash & Balance Calculator: This required deep domain understanding, reverse-engineering the formula and UX to ensure perfect accuracy inside the app.
  • Bulk Purchase Logic: A unified interface to handle dozens of variant combinations and quantities.
  • Color Ranges & Additional Customizations: Managing dynamic color charts, variant displays, and multiple custom selection UI patterns.
  • Quote Management System: Allowing users to save items as quotes, revisit them, modify selections and convert to orders.
